Included in our fee is 5 meals per day which consists of breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack. We cater for all dietary requirements and cultural preferences.
Our staff qualifications include full awareness and training in first aid and allergies, and our Truganina childcare centre is both a nut-free and egg-free zone. As a number of our little learners have food allergies, we run a strict "No Food from Home" policy to ensure the safety of all children in our care.
We aim to encourage children to develop good eating habits from a young age. To support this we give the children hands-on experience in the growing and harvesting of crops in our extensive veggie gardens, which are then used in our kitchen to create delicious, healthy meals and snacks. One of the best improvements has been the implementation of OWNA as a centralised system. It provides regular updates on the children’s daily activities, lunch menus, and photos, which is wonderful to receive each day. It gives parents peace of mind and a lovely insight into what the kids are doing throughout the day.
